It probably took everything he had just to reisist the urge to meet Joey at home plate and ask him to punch him in the face - just so he could thank him.

Seeing that now (first heard it on the radio last night), that was what was so stunning. Awful pitch, didn't look like a great swing, yet it was a no doubter. Amazing.

The optimism and confidence exuding from that stadium haven't been anywhere near here in ages.

The place is electric. I haven't felt this type of energy since moving into the new park. Everyone around me was hugging, high fiving and generally going nuts from the moment Chapman entered the game on. Please, please, please come down to the riverfront if you haven't already. You will not be disappointed, Reds fans!

If I lived in Cincy I'd be at the stadium as much as possible. Nothing better than a pennant chase.

Our daughter is coming in from DC for a wedding next weekend. She purposely schedule her flight in for Wednesday night so we can go to the final business day game. I still have to buy my tickets, but we'll be downtown this afternoon to hear President Clinton speak, so maybe we'll swing by the ballpark and pick them up then. May try to work in another game this week too.
