Bailey throws the ball away trying to pick Gomez off & the runner ends up at third

Homer throws one down the line, runner moves to 3rd.

He is dead set on giving up a run here. GAH.

You know, as I mentioned before, Homer Bailey is his own worst enemy.

Homer is fighting to be in the bullpen it looks like. He's certainly hurting his own case here. His stuff is there, but you've GOT to perform the fundamentals well.

My vote is in -- it's Arroyo, Wood, and Cueto in the playoffs.

I think he's got a bit of a short fuse and he lets his frustration affect his concentration and performance. Until he gets a handle on that I don't see him achieving any consistency.

Bailey's screw-ups this inning have him worked up. His fastball speed has ticked up to 95, then 96.

Too early. If Edinson shows he's there...

Tough crowd. Homer is still very young. He has a golden arm. He'll be fine eventually IMO.

Volquez's stuff is straight filthy, if his command is back he's got to be in the playoff rotation, even if on a short (4-5 inning) fuse.

Are you saying he's Carlos Zambrano?

No one disputes that, but we're talking about playoff rotation.

I agree. I'm mainly talking about right NOW and for the 'possible' postseason.
