This is the time. The real Reds organization is back.
Masset faced two batter and both got on.
So, its not like having Masset pitch the 8th was a sure bet.
Rhodes gave up his first runs in September, in his 6th game.
It's not like he's been lit up recently.
Chapman is good, but the kid is not perfect. He is relying too heavily on two pitches right now, and that's not always a good recipe. You can't expect him to be perfect for every frickin situation.
Rhodes helped get this team to this point. He's been the most consistent and most reliable pitcher the Reds have had all season long. And yet you want to burn him and his manager in effigy for being used in an important situation that actually favored his success? Wow. Just wow.

That may be what it takes...I'm only about half kidding. This team has been a buzzkill the last three weeks. Fortunately the Cardinals have had bigger problems and done most of the heavy lifting on the magic number for us.
