    Guy on the radio was talking about Votto's season, comparing him to Perez in 1975. Noted that Perez had Rose (.400 OBP) and Morgan (.460 OBP) hitting in front of him, whereas Votto has Phillips & Cabrera, Purveyors of Fine Outs in front of him.

    Cubs score again with help by an error by Rasmus. They have a runner on 3rd with 1 out. 8-6 Cards bottom 7th.

    I think the point was that they both had the same number of RBIs, which makes Votto's season all the more impressive.

    The futility of the Reds' 1 and 2 hitters in terms of getting on base has been ridiculous this year, and is one of several reasons why moving Phillips ought to be on the table this offseason.
