Just got home. Overpaid for the celebratory shirt and hat but I don't care. Got the special edition Enquirer cover outside the stadium.
Perfection. Couldn't ask for more out of a clinch. What a moment.
An appropriate way for this team to do it.
Division Champs!
This has been a wonderful season.
Great read in the Houston Chronicle:

Bruce’s drive to center on the first pitch of the ninth from Tim Byrdak, what a release. The 30,151 fans, already standing, exploded into cheers. Bruce, a Beaumont West Brook graduate and member of the Chronicle’s 2005 All-Greater Houston team, shot up his arms in jubilation as players poured from the dugout.
Note that piece about 2005 All-Greater Houston team - just 5 years removed from high school - this is such a young team.

I had to re-read this game thread again to make sure last night wasn't a dream. It was too perfect to be true
That was a pretty freaking awesome way to clinch a division.
Not a cheap HR by Bruce either!
My wife told that when she woke up this morning, she had one of those "what day is it" sort of notion and then it came back to her, "wait a minute, the Reds won the division!" Sadly no one in her family has called to offer their congratulations to us for our team winning, vanquishing their beloved Cardinals.

Great game thread!
Kudos to the one's that predicted a dramatic finish and especially the one's that predicted a Bruce walk off HR. :notworthy
Reds Fan Since 1971
Interestingly enough, Kenny Wallace, the race car driver who runs in the Nationwide series and is a brother to the famous Rusty Wallace, went out of his way to congratulate me a couple of weeks ago (the family is from St. Louis). He twitters abaout it all the time saying he feels great for Cincinnatians that they won. Of course, that's the excpetion to the rule.

I miss Reds Baseball.
Wish we could watch a replay of this game on a cold winter day such as this.
