    I disagree. I don't think he ever was in consideration for the post season roster. At least I hope not. I like Sam, but he's not an arm you want to use in a playoff game.

    Update on the game in SF. Both teams had chances in the first and did not score.

    Padres had a runner thrown out at the plate to end top of the first and the Giants stranded 2 runners in bottom of 1st.

    a lot of frustrating September games like this one means the team travels for Games 1 & 2. What a throwaway with a start like Wood had tonight.

    yep, he'd be a mop-up only arm only in case either game 1 or game 2 becomes a shallacking.
