I suspect Correa will win this one, and he's an excellent choice. But I just like Tucker Barnhart's chances to be a big-league catcher.

Soto put up good number for a 21 year old in Hi A. Hit RHP well. He has to be in the discussion

There's guys with higher upside, but I voted for Felix Perez. If heisey is traded at some point, and Nix isn't resigned this offseason, it wouldn't surprise me to see Perez w/ the big league club at some point this season, possibly as early as spring training. Obviously Sappalet would be slated above him, but a solid spring could put him in the picture as a left handed bench bat that could fill in at any of the 3 outfield spots.

Soto. Could Cody Puckett be put on the ballot? Thanks.

Interesting name. I like him more than about five of the candidates listed above.

I just have to say that we're talking about guys who are potential major league regulars and we're in the 20s. This organization has taken a massive step forward over the last few years.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

Re: Who is Redszone's #21 prospect?

I think I like Correa as a starting pitcher over Soto as a first baseman. If he could play average defense at third, I think I would take him over Correa and if he could be an average catcher behind the plate, I think I would take Soto over Correa as well. However, it looks like Soto is going to be locked into the first base/DH role next year and therefore, give me Correa. I like Soto next though...

Just a few years ago, a #2 draft pick who can throw like Boxberger, would have gotten some #1 prospect votes. This year, he can't crack the top 10.

Soto probably would have been a top 5 prospect a few years ago, and he's not even in the top 21.

I would have to go back to the 80's to find a Reds organization with this much depth.

Been thinking about the list. Is it time to get Fairel, Horst, Valiquette, maybe even Christiani, on?

I can't imagine any of them getting votes over the 15 candidates that are left after this vote.

Soto is a good choice here.
