Hope isn't a strategy
Glad to see Stubbs getting a day off, especially when it results in both Heisey and Lewis in the lineup. It seems like Drew has been trotted out there every day and even though he has performed wonderfully I don't want to run his legs into the ground.
Cairo might be behind Bruce because he might have a good history against the Pirate starting pitcher or to be a potential baserunner in front of Lewis to allow Fred to attempt a hit-and-run.
But I'd protect Bruce with Hernandez and bat Cairo 8th (or Ninth).
The Pirate lineup:
A. McCutchen cf
X. Paul lf
G. Jones rf
N. Walker 2b
L. Overbay 1b
R. Doumit c
P. Alvarez 3b
R. Cedeno ss
J. McDonald p

But maybe I'm too greedy. :O)
no no no. To quote CumberlandReds SS must hit 2nd. Also you must split up the lefties, CF hits leadoff. Catcher hits 8th.

Pretty hard to come up with a bad lineup with those guys.
Heisey runs down the 1st out.
