    Reds 1st:

    Stubbs HRs
    Phillips flies out to center
    Votto Ks looking
Bruce grounds a single to right
Lewis gets 'hit' in the leg
    Cairo bounces out to short.

    After 1 inning, Reds 1, Dodgers 3.

Wood at 20 pitches, 12 strikes.
Billingsley at 22 pitches, 12 strikes.

Pitch counts will be important today, it is Warm in Cincinnati, about 85 degrees.

I'm not really sure that Volquez has figured anything out in Louisville.

    Two out.

Question of the day - will it be worth staying up for the West Coast games starting next week. Reds cause enough sleepless nights. . . .

Yep. He can dominate at AAA, but MLB hitter are better and smarter. He'll get shelled and walk a lot and, to be frank, not be any better until he learns how to pitch.

14 innings, 7 Ks, 6 walks.... seems like he's been trying to pound the zone but that's not really getting major command of his stuff. He probably can't pound the zone in the majors.

If it's him or Reineke I'll take my chances

The ball seems to be doing crazy stuff today but then again, Lewis and Kemp aren't the best defenders.
