Strike zone is expanding as the game moves on.
This is the ol Left Hander rounding third and heading for home.

This game already has the feel of a typical, low scoring road game that we lose late in the game by 1 run.

    There I said it.

Yeah, that outside corner hasn't been a strike until that Bruce AB.

I haven't watched Bumgarner pitch much -- he looks incredibly hittable, yet he's making people look silly. I wonder if his elongated motion doesn't cause some timing issues for hitters as he throws and / or movement issues as the pitch goes across his body..

I ususally have GameDay on during the games. What I am seeing on there is pitches in the GameDay strike zone NOT being called strikes for Cueto, and pitches OUTSIDE the zome being called strikes for Bumgarner. This inning the second strike on Votto and strike three on Bruce were both outside, but were called strikes.

    This ump is terrible.

Well, Gomes is starting to hit, isn't he? I don't see him as an automatic out anymore.

Okay...I figured after that 4 hit game by Gomes the other day, it'd take him 2 more weeks to get 4 more hits.

Happy to be wrong so far.
