    Here we go with the Arroyo batting practice. Two hard-hit outs in the first now back-to-back hits to open the second.

    And the DP was smoked.

    The fastball velocity is routinely at 85-86 mph. Correct me if I'm wrong, but couldn't he at least touch 90 last year?

    If I am right, this is why he's getting smoked this year; especially against lefties. If the curve and the sinker are off the plate and he has to rely on the fastball more than 1 per at bat, balls will fly all over the park.
