That's ridiculous. There are copies of that record on ebay selling for over 100.00 right now.

Bad news. Looks like they are only going to do CD and digital for the general release of Boxer Live in Brussels: http://4ad.com/releases/871

So, the expensive RSD version is the only vinyl one, after all.

The new Parquet Courts album - Wide Awake! - is great. A return to form, for me, after the abrasive Monastic Living and mediocre Human Experience.

Monastic Living ticked me off because I considered it an automatic pre-order, since all their previous stuff was excellent, and they didn't preview any tracks, so I learned it was an experimental art record as I was playing it on my turntable for the first time. I don't think they even revealed that it was instrumental until the day before the release date, I believe. It definitely seemed like the band and/or their label knew the EP would be a tough sell and purposefully withheld info, so fans would buy it before word of mouth spread about what it actually was (a niche experimental side project type of release).

Anyway, I was sour enough on them for that that I didn't pay too much attention to Human Performance, which I thought was fine/didn't seem out of the ordinary for them. Agreed that this one is a step up and deserves the hype.

When I discovered Andrew Bird I ordered a few of his instrumental records by mistake. Maddening.

Haha. At least, as far as I know, those are marketed as instrumental albums. And the instrumentals sound somewhat like him. I hope!

I believe that I listened to about 3 hours worth of Logic today between driving to and from Dayton (I got stuck in traffic jams both ways).

That's good. Too many people just won't listen to Logic.

New Father John Misty album is quite good. No songs that necessarily stand out, but 10 solid tracks.
