Probably not the type of Bonnie Prince Billy you're referring to, but perhaps the most haunting piece of music I've ever come across.

No, that's him. Same guy. Love his music but it's a very acquired taste.

Seeing Father John Misty live in Orlando this weekend. Very excited.

Justin Townes Earl’s album from last year is really good. Harlem River Blues is still my favorite, but I think this one is next.

HRB is my favorite as well, but his newest effort is a close second. I think "Yuma" is his only album I didn't like.

New Adrianne Lenker record is that boring indie I referenced earlier in this thread but the version I like instead of ‘guy in a hat singing about breakfast pastries over coffee house acoustic guitar’ version.

I could never figure out how a person could sing while wearing a hat anyway. It constricts the jaw muscles. This is the real reason ballplayers take their hats off for the national anthem.

My wife who used to DJ on the radio, write about music, and manage a couple bands, and who is way more versed in music than I will ever be, completely agrees with you.

Stumbled upon this earlier today. Amazing. Sounds a bit like Kurt Vile.

Speaking of Kurt Vile, "Bottle It In" is fantastic.

The Wooks' new record is phenomenal.

And I can't stop listening to John Prine's latest from earlier this year.

The latest album from Meg Myers is fantastically dark.
