Pirates should be able to at least tie it if not take the lead.

8-8 and so far the only out is Jones getting thrown out at home

Nick Masset has no business in close games, especially in the eighth inning. He's got to be among the top of the list of biggest disappointments for the 2011 Reds. How, in any way, can he be counted on next year? I hope Walt looks elsewhere.

Sappelt stops short and watches the ball hit about 1 inch in front of him. He should have just reached out and caught it.

After holding on to the ball last batter and letting Jones take 2nd.

Dave Sappelt has butchered this inning beyond belief.

    Well him and Masset.
This is the time. The real Reds organization is back.

I think it was an error on BP.

What is going on out there in LF?

fly ball double play to end the inning.
Ludwick flew out to Stubbs and McCutchen tried to score but Stubbs made a good throw to get him at home.

Great throw by Stubbs. Tie game headed to ninth.

    I blame Dunn and Gomes.

    From habit I guess.

Tough error on Phillips, I bet it's changed. That ball took a bad hop and changed directions.

Stubbs reaches on a fielders choice which scores Votto to make it 9-8 Reds
Sappelt goes to 3rd and Stubbs to 2nd on the missed catch error
