Pujols - pop out to Votto
    Holliday - homers - 11-8
    Berkman - flies to center
Freese - single - same old Codero!
Molina - flies out to right

    TOBTTR

    Reds win 11-8

I really wasn't expecting a 11-8 game when I saw that Cueto was facing Carpenter.

Doesn't just have a chance....he'll blow it out of the water if he plays.

Dunner had an OPS that was juuuuuust a tad higher to make up for those K's though.

Yet we still can't pitch. Better turn some of those kids into pitching or we're going back to the slamming fun times of 2001-2009. Notice there isn't one exciting arm coming up now, or probably next year. Just a bunch of blah.

We still only interested in bats in Reds country eh?

Bats and runs, the legacy of being a life long Reds fan, bats and runs.

Notice that they've just produced 4 homegrown starters now 25 and under: Bailey, Leake, Wood, Cueto.

Take a look around other rotations. You won't see many bearing the fruits of their farm systems like the Reds is.

Geez. After a season of watching older guys struggle at the plate, since when is it shortsighted to celebrate some rookies mashing?

And yes -- it's a franchise with a proud history of fielding some offensive juggernauts. They have a chance to field another team like that in the next few years. Good by me. Doesn't mean they can't also win.

I don't know about you guys but I would love to see a team that can pitch AND mash.. Oh, and play defense.

Some folks only look at the shiny side of the car, the other side of the car has dents on it.

These folks know who they are, as do I.

The game starts on the bump in the middle of the field, this is fact that i'm convinced is lost on the majority of Reds fans out there (and in these game threads) that's my opinion and I'm sticking to it. 10 years on this board tell me nothing else matters.
