    A HR ties it.
On the other hand, he has no one to blame but himself letting Castro get on base and then leaving a gopher ball out there (after falling behind 2-0 -- inexcusable) for a career minor leaguer to take him yard.

It's been a problem with the Reds all season -- lack of focus on the mound in key situations. Bailey's had a lot of "feel sorry for him" starts where the same thing happened -- one moment's lack of focus leads to a ball that gets crushed and costs him an otherwise good start.

Leake was his own worst enemy in the 9th.

Gas Can Masset. Dusty is nuts. I don't complain about him much, but he made two fatal mistakes tonight. He left Leake in too long and he put Masset in the game. The result---LOSS. Pitiful

    This game.

    Season in a nutshell.

Hopefully 2012 doesn't suck this bad.

(Leake was not left in too long).

ON that we disagree. If the object is winning and with a kid that has his whole career in front of him, when he allowed the tying run to come to the plate, he should have been lifted.

But, then again, that's the rules of baseball. "Give him a chance to get the CG and the shutout. Winning be danged.

Feel sorry for Red in Chicago.

And we still have life. Good.

    Leake was cruising.

    A weak hit by Castro.

Any manager would have let him finish it off for the shutout.

Wow, Mesoraco's got a canon. I didn't think they were gonna turn it after Cairo's lob home, but then Mes rifled it to first.

Dusty wasn't the one who fell behind 2-0 to Rob Stratton's long lost brother and then threw a meatball over the plate for him to crush.

You know Dusty is calling the pitches from the dugout. Can't trust a rookie catcher. (I am absolutely joking here).

Some of you stats guys...seems like we are having so many of these EI affairs. Do the Reds lead the majors in this category, or does it just seem that way?

Leake could have shaken Devin off if he wanted to. He made a bad location of the 2-0 pitch.
Don't know how blaming Dusty here is really plausible.
