    In his last start, Dempster threw a season-high 122 pitches in the midst of 93-degree temperatures. He took the loss, however, as he threw 6 1/3 innings, allowing three runs on seven hits with one walk and nine strikeouts.

    Votto hits a soft liner down the left field line that Soriano misplays, triple.
    Bruce walks.
    Alonso lines a single to center, Votto scores, Bruce to 2nd.
    Stubbs Ks swinging.

    After half an inning, Reds 1, Cubs coming up.

    Dempster at 26 pitches, 18 strikes.

    Castro grounds out to Francisco at 3rd.
    Johnson grounds out to Renteria.
    Ramirez grounds to Francisco, who spins around and nails him at 1st. Nice play.

    After one inning, Reds 1, Cubs 0.

    Cueto at 9 pitches, 6 strikes.

    Alonso hit a pretty tough pitch inside and managed to hit it into CF.

    He's an impressive hitter.

    So do I, and the fact that they all hit LH pitching means the threat of a LOOGY isn't all that much.
    Now we just need to find a centerfielder and shortstop that get on base 35% of the time or more and Dusty can relax and hit them 1-2
