    Cueto pops out to 2nd.
    Phillips lines out to right.
    Renteria lines a long single off the left field wall (Wind hindered).
    Votto grounds out to 2nd on the 1st pitch.

    After 4 and a half, Reds 1, Cubs 0.

    Dempster at 72 pitches, 48 strikes.

    Pena doubles into the gap in right.
    Soriano flies out to Alonso.
    With LaHair batting, the 1-1 pitch sqibbs away from Ramon, Pena to 3rd (wild pitch).
    LaHair Ks swinging.
    LaMahieu singles through the left side hole, Pena scores.
    Hill flies out to Stubbs in deep right-center.

    After 5 innings, Reds 1, Cubs 1.

    Cueto at 70 pitches, 47 strikes.

    Alonso ques a ground ball single down the 3rd base line.
    Stubbs sac bunts the runners up to 2nd and 3rd.
    Francisco walks, mostly intentionally.
    Ramon lines out to short, ALonso doubled off 2nd.

    Middle of the 6th, Cubs 1, Reds 1.

    Dempster at 87 pitches, 57 strikes.

    Ramon Hernandez now 1 for 13 with bases loaded this year. The one hit was an April homer vs. the Pirates. Not good.

    Ramirez doubles down the left field line, Alonso doesn't pick it up too smoothly, both runners score.
    Pena grounds out to 2nd, Aramis to 3rd.
    Soriano flies out to Jay Bruce in deep right.

    After 6 innings, Reds 1, Cubs 3.

    Cueto at 94 pitches, 63 strikes.

    Dusty lets Cueto hit for himself and Cueto comes through with a bunt base hit.
    Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

    Cueto pushes a bunt single past the pitcher toward 2nd. Nice.
    Phillips lines a single into right.
    Renteria bloops a single into shallow left. Bases juiced, none out.

    Dempster is done with nobody out in the 7th, 98 pitches, 62 strikes.
