On a different night, that's a grand slam. Joey just missed it and the ball isn't carrying.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

    Bruce
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

His name is Yonder. His offensive greatness grossly outweighs his defensive shortcomings.

Reds fans, say hello to your LF of the future (and present).

    Reds 7th, part 2:

Lefty James Russell now pitching for the Cubs. Bases loaded, nobody out.
Votto hits the first pitch to deep right, sac fly, Cueto scores. (I thought it was gone....wind hindered).
Bruce doubles down the left field line, Phillips scores, Renteria to 3rd.
Alonso flies to center, Renteria tags and tries to score, but the throw from Reed Johnson is perfect, and Renteria is called 'out' on the play at home.

Middle of the 7th, Reds 3, Cubs 3.

They showed one angle that made him really look safe at home.

Dusty is getting away with wearing a pullover Reds sweatshirt tonight. I thought it had to be a team jacket only....
