Lou Montanez pinch hitting, strikes out swinging. Mid-way through six, Reds 5-4. Marty says Bailey is dealing.

Bailey throws this ratio of strikes to balls all the time and he'll be just fine.

Bailey found his breaking ball. He had no command of it earlier and the cubbies were teeing off on his fastball.

Cashner in to pitch. Janish leads off with a walk after fouling off several pitches. Bailey up to bat.

I'm a little confused. I can understand playing Frazier even if his hitting near the interstate, just to look at him, but Janish? Oh, well. Defense is wonderful and if you have lights out pitching, you can score three runs and win. Of course, the Giants tried that and we see the result. I'd rather see Francisco at third and Edgar at short until we reach .500.

But I'll take a 5-4 lead at this point.

Forget it. At this stage, everyone plays and sits a little. It's a rec league.

Drew Stubbs, with his 3rd hit of the night, drops one into shallow center, Janish to 3rd. Pitching change for Mr. Votto.

Wish we had a guy in front of Votto in the lineup who would stay put so they have to pitch to him. Wish we had a guy behind him that would make them pitch to him. I'm old enough that my wishes shouldn't hurt me, but I wish...
