Good grief. Hang this one squarely on the offense. Other than Jay Bruce the entire lineup is pathetic right now. Thank God it's still early. But dang this is frustrating.

    Ah, yes. Bruce and Cozart.

It's too bad they're far enough apart in the lineup that they rarely bat in the same inning, because they're the only ones hitting at all.

Middle of the order is 8 for 56 or .143. Bruce is the only one hitting there. Heisey has been anemic as has Rolen. If they get rolling, something I do not expect Heisey to do, we will be OK. Hey, Walt. We need a big bat in the outfield. What? More pitching? OK.

Feel sorry for my lil baby (Leake) pitched a quality game. The offense needs a transfusion. Hopefully, we'll get 'em tomorrow... I'll be there in the club cheering them on!

Reds will lose to guys like Nolasco, Lohse, and Westbrook if they remain so overwhelmingly right handed.

Either they need to add hitting stars (unlikely) or they need to add some solid lefty bats.

What would happen if Rolen and Cozart switched? I feel Cozart could handle any spot and get his hits. It will not happen though. What about this as another alternative?

    Phillips
    Rolen
    Votto
    Bruce
    Cozart
    LF
    Stubbs
    Catcher

Leake pitched a good game. Too bad the offense wasn't there to back him up. Votto did hit some balls hard. So maybe he's about to break out of it. But in the end the offense will come around. Seems like its always sluggish in April. Go getem later today and tried to avoid a sweep.

    Good prediction, Cumberlandreds.
