Reds get a very tough call on force play, runner called safe, Phillips throw takes Cozart off the bag.

Bases juiced, 2-1. Game now tied on SFly.

Perhaps its only the rookie in him, but Cozart seems to not always concentrate and makes poor plays at times.

Huh? That's his second career error in over 200 innings, and from it sounds like, that was a horrible scoring decision, and the error was made by Phillips.

Cozart probably came off the base to take the throw by Phillips. But most of the time, that play is called an out.

That was my thought. That play gets called an out 90 percent of the time. On the flip side, though, it's awfully hard to call an error on Dat Dude.

Anybody watching the game? Gameday showed Heisey's flyout to almost be a home run.

    Two steps onto the track.

SF announcers made the correct assessment that it would have been off the batters eye in July.

Long fly ball, but plenty of room for Pagan to catch it. Straightaway center.

I'm watching on mlb.tv and the error should have been on Phillips. Cozart could have recognized what was happening and made sure of the one out though.

Marty said Dat Dude had trouble getting it out of his glove.

It was a little sluggish, but it didn't look bad. Just slow.

1-6-3 on an attempted sacrifice to end the inning. Bailey looking more than a little lackadaisical on the basepaths.

6 pitch inning by Bailey.....now at 63 pitches after 5.

Reds need to drop the hammer this time through the lineup and give him some breathing room. Would like to see the pen completely rested up for the weekend series.

It's great seeing our little Homer finally grow up and become a solid pitcher.

Ha, my son had to go up to NYC today to speak on a panel at a conference (he just started his new job Monday a week ago). He tweeted me and said "The Mayor of Toronto sounds just like Joey Votto."
