The Operator (09-09-2017)
There comes a time where we need to move on and let it go. The guilty parties here are largely fired, in jail or dead.
PSU has a whale of a football program and a shot at the Big Ten title this year. They're an exciting team to watch.

As I said, the guilty parties are pretty much out of the picture. If there are more you want to see punished, fine. But don't punish the kids who are there now and had nothing to do with it. Most weren't even born yet when this stuff went down. Punishing 18-22 yr old kids for this is a crap attitude IMO
I'm not talking about the kids of course. I'm talking about the assistants and anyone in charge. Even if they are no longer there coaching they should be called out and embarrassed about turning the other way or afraid of Paterno's cult of personality. There are worse turning the other way or letting things go and moving on situations in the last 100 years that you can bring up that have happened but this is pretty disgusting.
What happened under Joe Paterno decades ago is very disgusting but James Franklin, his coaches and kids playing for him had nothing to do with it. One can root for them and still be very much against pedophilia. Fans/supporters of the program have not turned the other way, they've moved on.

Yes I think I clearly said that those who are there now and had nothing to do with what happened. I stated that th assistant coaches who were there and are still around coaching. ELSEWHERE. I mean I have to clearly type that out as I thought it was understood what I meant are the ones that need to be called out for turning the other way and being afraid of Paterno and the whole cult of PS. The article talks about coaches at other programs who knew what the hell was going on.
The program should have received the death penalty.
Yet, here we are, with Penn State still playing football on Saturdays.
