He updated me saying that Phillips looks better. "He was stretching really hard at 3rd and gimpy the next inning but looks like he must have lumbered up."

So, Pirates fan freaks me out over what may have been, at most severe, a charley horse. Typical. Sorry for unnecessary worry!
There is no such thing as a pitching prospect.

Ball gets by Votto unfortunately, McCutchen to 2nd. E on Cueto I'd assume.

I'm watching the game and your friend's report looked accurate to me. Phillips went from first to third and looked like he was hurt. He might have been acting a little, but he was holding his thigh and I was concerned.

I even thought he jogged home on the Votto hit.

Then he comes out on defense like everything is ok.

So give your friend a break, I think he was trying to give an accurate report.

He was out, and it really wasn't close. I went back and watched in slow motion. I had it paused right where Votto had his glove on the shoulder, and Cutch's hand was 6 inches from the bag.

    Angel Hernandez.

Angel Hernandez strikes again. That didn't look like Stubbs went around to me. But called a punchout. 3-2 it stays.

Think you're right. He would have swung and missed at the next pitch though. Just saved Wandy a pitch.

I hope the Reds can turn the light switch on for the playoffs. I know they are resting some guys, but the team is playing listless baseball, fairly unwatchable.

Phillips out of the game with tightness in his left leg.
