Another setlist- this is from the very first Foo Fighters public appearance, at the Satyricon in Portland, March 3, 1995.

    Handwritten by Dave Grohl.

I was there a few times in '95, but found myself generally too old for the crowd. Haven't been there in 15 years, though it's still a great venue. Half the crowd was on ecstacy back in '95. The other half was too drunk.

Where Kurt met Courtney, right? 225 person capacity, Nirvana played there New Years Eve 1991.

Can you tell me how to pronounce the name of the venue?

More Foo Fighters- this was signed at the Metro in Chicago in May of 1995.

The original lineup, pretty rare- Grohl, Smear, Mendel, and Goldsmith.

Mike McReady, of Pearl Jam smashed guitar with photo of him smashing it in two different Pearl Jam photo books. I'm hoping to get it signed this weekend, going to try to have him write a lyric from "Black," just depends on his mood.i also to believe this to be the guitar he smashed unsuccessfully at the 1993 MTV VMAs, on stage with Neil Young.

Man Dom, you have some incredible, awesome stuff! I am jealous-as I have said before I don't have much music stuff but love to see it.
A few posts back people were talking about signatures and quality. I was speaking with a college basketball player recently about his signature and how much its changed from his first year in college to now, he said so many more requests he had to shorten it up, and that many athletes (and others I assume) give different sigs that are harder to verify vs a nicer one at a paid signing that are more documented examples.

How nice of you to say!

I'm working on going through all the Pearl Jam live performances, documenting which songs Mike played it. It's pretty cool that he used it playing with Neil Young on the VMAs, the first live performance anywhere of "Corduroy" and "Spin the Black Circle." Also used it on a version of "Baba O Reilly" and at least one Pearl Jam hit: "Alive."

There were 50 plus shows it was used at, I've only watched 3 or 4....and most are not going to have a video. This was signed at the airport- he recognized it instantly. After some back and forth about signing/not signing (he had lost his wallet) he broke down and asked "Where did you get this?" He was really worried about that...and I can see why. I have a pic of him with the guitar after it was signed, I don't want to share until I can blur a face or two.

You confirmed what I was saying in that the demand will diminish the quality of signature. We all change our signature over time, it's pretty natural. That's actually a verification tool. It comes in handy when someone shows up with a Nirvana signed piece because Dave Grohl and Krist's signature have changed- so if you tell me "I got this signed in '92," but it has the 2005 version of Dave Grohl....we know something is up.

I'm trying to move away from the signatures and go for concert used or owned stuff- too much tomfoolery goes on in the hobby for me, so unless I got a pic of it being signed, I'm usually passing unless it is super rare.

    Re: The Autograph Thread

This is what I'm going to matte it up with-

The setlist on the right is Eddie Vedder's handwritten original rough draft of a show in 1994. He would then give it to the tour manager who would write up a neater version and photocopy for the crew (left).

I'm really into things of this time period. I was looking into getting a set of handwritten lyrics by the late Andrew Wood from Mother Love Bone, but I'm on the fence.

Two more of Butch Vig's personally owned record awards for "Nevermind." These both hung on the walls of Smart Studios.
