That would be a popular choice around here. UTSA whispered that it wanted to be independent in football (when it starts playing football in 2012) and play its other sports in the Southland. Before UTSA could announce that, the Southland decreed that member schools must be members in all sports. I imagine UTSA would like nothing better than to be Division I by the end of the decade and so would its rival, Texas State, 60 miles to the north.

The only way I see the conference adding any of the teams you said (and I'm fine with all three), is if they split the conference in all other sports. I think a great solution (unless you can raid the Big 12) is the three teams you mentioned and Nova. Split the conference in all other sports with the 8 that play football now and the new three in one basketball conference, and the 8 that don't (including Nova) in the other.
