Obv Marty’s ATOBTTR, and Joe’s “roundin’ third and heading for home.”

I also chuckle every time Cowboy says, “And you can kiss the baby,” and “alligator armed” to describe a high-and-tight swing-and-miss. “Right down broadway” is another standard issue Cowboy-ism.

Also Dan Patrick’s lines from 90’s Sportscenter, “as cool as the other side of the pillow,” “en fuego,” and “he’s leaving, that means more beer for us” when a pitcher comes out.
There’s Ernie Harwell’s “house by the side of the road” and John Sterling’s legendary “it is high, it is far, it is caught!”

My favorite quote has a lot of adult language. I've skipped those words so this isn't the exact quote, but the whole thing is on you tube. Not posting a link.

"Team Speed, you get little fleas on the bases getting picked-off, getting thrown out trying to steal taking runs away from you. Get me some big (guys) who can hit the ball out of the ballpark and you can't make any mistakes."

All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

Different sport, but former Oakland Raider QB great Ken Stabler [R.I.P.] had a quote I liked. One time journalist Jack Smith read to Stabler a quote from Jack London: "I would rather be a meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet. The proper function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong them. I shall use my time."
After reading the quote to Stabler, Smith then asked: "What does that mean to you?"
    Stabler replied: "Throw deep."
"Hey...Dad. Wanna Have A Catch?" Kevin Costner in "Field Of Dreams."

Share my favorite baseball quote? No. It's mine and you can't have it.
