There's a better than decent chance that front office-adjacent folks post or snoop here. They should hear it.

The hardest-core fans are sickened by this. Now imagine a Joe Punchclock fan. Why would they show up?

And that's totally fine. But, if you had been watching you would know he has been stinging the ball and having good at bats.
What would you say.....ya do here?

As Redsfaithful said, the only kids worth tuning in for are Greene and Stephenson (and India when he returns). Man that's some thin gruel.

Its not a matter of watching "every inning" - you specifically stated you have literally not watched ONE inning. And yet, you make absolute statements about players based off quite literally the box scores in a very small sample size. You can do whatever you want to do. I can also point out BS when I see it.

FWIW, I feel like that’s what you do all the time with prospects. Unless you’re grinding on MiLB tv.

...since the Atlanta series. They've gotten completely throttled. They didn't stand a chance in any of the west coast games so far. There's nothing BS about deciding not to watch a 2-9 team with the worst stats in baseball.

I watched or listened to every inning until 1130PM last Saturday night against the Dodgers.

Then Sunday I watched until the Dodgers blew it open again. So what... 3 innings?

Maybe 2 innings last night. Once it was 2-1 I knew that was a deficit too far to overcome for this offense.

I'm skipping the rest of the Padres series. I'll tune in a bit for the Cardinals this weekend. But if they poop the bed in that series too, that'll downgrade my attention span to just checking the score in the morning. Once they are 10 or 15 back, I'll stop even checking the score.

I like baseball though and I have the MLB package free, so I have been watching other teams. "Big Inning" is a pretty cool feature of MLB. It just cycles through the good parts and/or live action around the league, and has very limited commercials. I highly recommend it.

I am not referring to the team. I am referring to specific players, and....you know what, I don't care. You do you.

I doubt many of them are actually as bad as their stats would indicate currently, at least I'd hope not or they'll blow past 100 losses.

I'm not trying to make more out of this start than it is, there are 2-9 stretches even for good teams every year, obviously it's amplified happening at the start. But you add in the failson owner comments coming right after a salary dump which came right after they locked out the players which came right after the Bengals went to the Super Bowl and showed all sorts of things are actually possible if an organization tries, and it's just dire.

What fanbase wouldn't be gnashing teeth right here? It's actually funny that there's anyone at all pumping the brakes on anger right now.

They just started 2-9! An owner took a dump on the fans on Opening Day after dumping a bunch of salary! We will talk about the last two weeks for YEARS.

It’s kind of funny how the Reds genuinely tried in 2020 and 2021 and so they at least played ok to start the year while each of the last years where they just slapped something together and hoped for the best (2018, 2019, 2022) have all seen the Reds get off to horrific starts.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

But...but they can't afford getting off to fast starts

I agree with your sentiment here. It’s amplified because it’s the start of the year and the owner made an ass of himself on opening day.

As far as the players go, aside from Naquin and Drury who are overplaying, and Farmer and Stephenson who are meeting expectations, every other player is worse to significantly worse than we can expect from them for the rest of the year. Including Moose and Aquino.

This is exactly why the Reds need to divorce themselves from Phil. He’s a pox that’s gonna pee on the fire of attempt to correct this ship

That man is a mixed metaphor and he must be stopped.
