I can’t say 20%. Don’t know. I’m simply saying that the rules of individual investors don’t necessarily apply to corporations.

I'd like to see this $$$ talk placed in it's own thread (for selfish reasons) and leave this thread to the subject belied by its title, mostly since it's consumed this thread and also to talk about the 29 other teams and 699 other players on the 40-man rosters of those teams.

There’s been no real player movement and this is a topic concerning MLB right now.

I'm not the one talking endlessly about it, so I don't want to.

    But yes I could, but I won't

I find it amazing that people don’t believe that the Dodgers aren’t going to make out like bandits in this deal no matter what. TBTF teams are only ever playing with house money. It makes me wonder if we even inhabit the same country. We live under monopoly capitalism and MLB is the uber-monopoly sitting atop the monopoly pile. The Dodgers are worth more than probably 50-60 nations’ GDP. The only thing they’re missing is a military.

I mean, I'd invest in their fund.

If I could invest in an MLB team I would do it in a second lmao. It’s like free money.

Six of MLBTR's top 10 FAs are still available (Bellinger, Snell, Montgomery, Chapman, Hader, Imanaga).

    Others:

    11-20: 4
    21-30: 7
    31-40: 8
    41-50: 8

There's still a ton of FA business to be done. At some point the Yankees and Cubs are coming off the top rope.

The first $3.5 million of tax money is used to fund player benefits and 50% of the remainder will be used to fund player Individual Retirement Accounts. The other 50% of what’s left goes to a supplemental commissioner’s discretionary fund intended to be given to teams receiving revenue-sharing money that have grown their non-media local revenue over several years.

The Cubs already had their big FA signing. That was Craig Counsell. Chicago gave a lot of money for a Punch and Judy manager.
