That was an RBI-Double by Collier, not a HR.

Friedl GO to 2nd Base 1st AB.

Lost in yesterday's game was Dunn PH-ing for Friedl, Walking and then Stealing 2nd Base.

DAYTONA RECAP - It was not a good night for the Tortugas. At all. They sink 7-1.

    Ben Brutti started and did okay. 4 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 6 K.
Dylan Simmons came on and worked one scoreless inning. Simmons, who hadn't pitched since April 24th, has now appeared in 5 games, and has yet to be scored upon.
Juan Martinez did not have it tonight, yielding 5 runs (3 earned) in 2.1 innings.
Gabe Starks came on and recorded the final 2 outs.

Daytona could only scrape together 5 hits in the contest, all singles.
Johnny Ascanio had 2 of them.
Ricardo Cabrera singled and walked. He was also pinch run for in the top of the 8th.
    Alfredo Duno singled and walked.

    Daytona's infield committed 4 errors. Pino (2), Cabrera (1) and Ascanio (1).

CHATTANOOGA GAME SUSPENDED - The game is suspended in the bottom of the 2nd.

Hunter Parks started and has gone 1.2 innings. He has walked 4 and hit a batter. 52 pitches/26 strikes.

The Lookouts lone safety is a single off the bat of Tyler Callihan.

Jack Rogers is hitting .281, and no one else in the lineup is over .222.

EDIT: I am guessing that this game is suspended, and that will be all for tonight.

LOUISVILLE RECAP - It's a silent night for Bats hitters as the team trails 4-0 in the home half of the 8th.

Brett Kennedy with a quality start. 6 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 0 BB, 6. After keeping the Saints off of the board for 5 innings, Kennedy was racked for 3 runs in the 6th.
Justin Bruihl gave up a run in the 7th to make it 4-0, and raise his ERA to 1.84.
Randy Wynne, who hasn't pitched since the 21st of April, has taken the reins. He has just finished off the Saints in the 8th to keep his ERA, on the season, at 0.00.

As noted earlier, Louisville has just managed 3 singles tonight. 2 came off the bat of Levi Jordan (BA .383), and the other was hit by Erik Gonzalez.

Erik Gonzalez and Rece Hinds both singled in the 9th, but the rally fizzled.

Bats succumb by a 4-0 margin.

DAYTON RECAP - The Dragons are ahead 7-3, and are still batting in the home half of the 7th.

Rhett Lowder is in line for the win. Lowder also put up a quality start: 6 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 0 BB, 9 K. Lowder's ERA is 2.49. And, his K/BB is 29/6.
Easton Sikorski struggled through a 2-inning stint, allowing 2 runs.
John Murphy set the Whitecaps down in order in the 9th to earn his 1st save. He fanned 1.

Jay Allen II walked twice and stole a base (6).
Sal Stewart singled, doubled and hit a sac fly.
Cam Collier singled twice and doubled.
Cade Hunter probably set, or at least tied, some kind of record tonight. He reached base twice on catcher's interference. On consecutive bats, actually.
Leonardo Balcazar singled, walked and stole a base (2).
Victor Acosta singled twice, walked and stole a base (5).
    Logan Tanner doubled and walked.

    Dayton wins 8-5.

was just going to ask if Stewart was on the IL. Hadn't seen his name in game recaps (here or at Doug's place).

I wonder if they hold off on promoting Lowder to Chattanooga because of how rotten that team is? Their isn't a legitimate prospect on the offensive side of the ball on that team, but there's plenty of guys they should cut bait with when the Dayton guys start moving up.
