11 lead changes in the first quarter of the first game. Lovely start to the season.

Rockets and Thunder battle tooth and nail through 2 overtimes with OKC coming out on top 125-124. Alperen Sengun drops 39 in a losing effort. Great game to start the season.

What a win by the 76ers at Boston! 117-116

    V. J. Edgecombe breaks 76ers rookie debut record for points with 34.

That was fun to watch. I did not realize that Edgecombe was going to be a high-volume (5-for-13) three point shooter, so that was new. His athleticism is off the charts. Although, knowing the history of Sixers draft picks, I'm a little worried that Edgecombe is going to hit the restroom on the plane home and get sucked out of the toilet at 10,000 feet.

Maxey going off for 40-spot, along with Edgecombe's 34, was just enough. Embiid was terrible in his 20 minutes, so every one of those points was needed. I was also impressed by Dominick Barlow; did not expect he'd be as good as he was tonight. Good win, but especially without Tatum, the Celts are a shell of their former selves, so we'll how it goes from here.

Rozier was arrested in connecting with a sports betting ring involving current and former players, including some who allegedly faked injuries, while Billups is one of 31 people being charged for allegedly taking part in illegal high-stakes poker games that involved sports coaches and were operated by organized crime figures, sources tell CBS News.

Not an ideal start for Cooper Flagg. 3 turnovers and 0 assists as the Mavs PG. 0 points in the first half. Team worst -29 in the +/-. Team got killed.

    I'm sure he'll be fine.
