Amazing. Cruz needs to buy him a car or something.

O’Neil Cruz is looking lost out in CF. Lost one in the sun. Had another one go over his head cause he started in. He refuses to wear sunglasses out there

This means Skenes does not survive the 1st. He’s pulled after getting 2 outs and throwing 37 pitches

Good to see the Pirates are still looking like the Pirates this year

The Pirates really improved their lineup from a hitting standpoint, but that defensive alignment really negates a chunk of that. A Reynolds-Cruz-O'Hearn outfield is bad enough to make Nick Krall blush. Lowe isn't up the middle for his glove, either.

No, but he did cost them 2 outs. But, it's one inning of one game, so he's go no where to go but up.
...the 2-2 to Woodsen and here it comes...and it is swung on and missed! And Tom Browning has pitched a perfect game! Twenty-seven outs in a row, and he is being mobbed by his teammates, just to the thirdbase side of the mound.

Tweak something or just worried about too many pitches in the inning this early in the year?

Lot of runs, so far. 6-4 and counting in the top of the 5th.

All those of the "EDLC belongs in the OF" persuasion should take heed.

Personally I think Elly has the potential to be exceptional in CF - but it is far, far from a sure thing that he would even be good.

You make a good point but I think Elly would transition better and at the very least wear sunglasses. I think Elly’s baseball IQ is higher. Oneill Cruz gives me Kal Daniels like vibes on defense like he just doesn’t give a flying leap
