Do people really think the non suspension of Wemby means the NBA is fixed? He was tossed from the game, they lost. Wolves were beating him up and have been all series. Obviously Wemby lost his cool and it looked bad, but the flagrant 2 and him missing the game seems like the right call.

In the golden age of the NBA guys would fist fight and not even get tossed from games.

You are basically quoting the spurs coach and calling it your opinion. Both teams are beating the crap out of each other. The other Spurs can battle without throwing elbows. It’s called tough defense and it’s something that the Knicks and Cavs don’t understand. Detroit plays that way, and Orlando and Miami try to.
I don’t like suspensions in general and I didnt want wimpy (wemby has alot of different physical reactions though defense, elbows to the neck are a new twist to his usual flopping act) suspended because the complaining and whining by the spurs would have reached unbearable levels, and the Twolves already benefitted from his misbehavior for one game.
But at the same time, it was a dirty play. Towns, AD, Jokic, Allen don’t throw elbows, but Embiid and now Wimpy do.

Hmm, didn’t see the Spurs coach’s take, so I guess we agree. Whatever you say, sunshine

Of course it was dirty. Who said otherwise?

I’m just tired of the conspiracy talk when anything goes wrong for 90% of all sports fans.

We’ll see in the ECF how the tough defense plays out.

I agree with you about the conspiracy/league is against you excuses. It’s getting excessive. When Finch complained about 4 missed goaltending calls in game 1, I took the time to look at them and I thought there was one missed call, maybe a foul on another, but that’s it. Much ado about nothing. Maybe that’s why the SA coach said what he said. Got to keep up with the opposing coach.

Well, then, wait until you get Pistons fans takes after losing in OT to the Cavs when regulation ended after their player was tripped by Mobley and no foul called with virtually no time on the clock and Detroit in the bonus.

I like that the bottom 3 are penalized. Provide an incentive to not be one of the bottom 3

The NBA has disclosed to its 30 GMs a singular new anti-tanking reform that expands the draft lottery to 16 teams, flattens odds, and have a relegation zone where the bottom 3 teams are penalized with fewer lottery balls for the No. 1 pick.

The coach positioning war is a huge part of the game. Carlisle was a master over the previous couple of seasons at getting the most out of his pressers. I wish I had more time to analyze the games and the games within games, because the league is entertaining on and off the court - especially when your team is playing as well as mine is.

The Knicks really stepped up their connectedness and ball movement vrs a talented Sixers squad. You are justifiably optimistic. Just be ready for the intensity of the Spurs/OKC squads if you make it to the finals. The game turns into a survival contest. They play like they want to steal your soul and you need to match that level of non-violent bullying every game.
I know you play them in the regular season, but playoff versions are even more frenzied.

Just rewatched it. That was a foul. Worst part is the NBA is gaslighting fans and saying it wasn’t.

Ok, maybe the NBA is a little fixed.

    Cavs in 7.
    Knicks in 6.
    Wolves in 7.
    Thunder in 5.
I underestimated the Spurs. Thought Ant would take over and show he was the best scorer in the series. Spurs are looking like Juggernaut B to Thunder’s A.

It’s crazy how each team could trade all-NBA level talents like Fox/J Williams and likely not miss a beat next season.

It's crazy. Is the Thunder dynasty over right after it got started? For me, this is must watch television. The only downside to this blossoming rivalry is that they are both in the same conference. One is guaranteed not to make it to the finals.

Ridiculousness raised to the ultimate level. Anthony Edwards goes down and congratulates the Spurs with EIGHT MINUTES left in the game.

I think we’ll see OKC win this one. But they may be feeling added pressure to get #2 now before the Spurs really take over.

As a Knicks fan, happy to see this explosion of talent conglomerated in the West for now.

I'm not sure the Spurs are going to take over. The Thunder with their two picks in the top 17 this year don't seem to be doing anything other than still improving themselves. Will be a tough hill for these Spurs to ever climb.

They honestly mostly dominated after going down 2-0, I really did not expect that. The game they lost there were even reports there was a viral illness in the locker room.
