Reds #16 ranked prospect Carlos Jorge had 3 more hits Wednesday night for the Chattanooga Lookouts in their 4-1 win over Pensacola.

Jorge leads the Southern League with a .350 batting average — no other hitter is above .313 — while posting an impressive .943 OPS.

Eli Pitts carrying a .476 .607 .810 1.417 line after 8 games and 28 PA. His bat speed has been measured at a top of the scale 77 MPH and he's walking(7) while not K'ing much(4). Might have hit the jackpot drafting him in the 5th round.

    From OnBaseMachine's X account:

Eli Pitts was my favorite pick by the #Reds last year. Kiley McDaniel labeled him as a plus-plus runner with good contact skills. He’s displayed elite bat speed as well, up to 77 mph iirc.

Not really on topic very much, but the Packers in the 60s had a good RB named Elijah Pitts. Is Eli Pitts any relation? Sounds like he's named after Elijah.
