Currently has a 13 straight successful stolen base streak going.

As good as that stat line is, it feels like it was twice that while it was happening

That rivals Ken Griffey Jr.’s second half career with a new team stint right?

Pujols actually stayed on the field but wasn’t any good for the most part

Jr. rarely played, but he did actually turn in a few all star caliber seasons as a Red.

    Jr. - 10.6 fWAR as a Red

Pujols - 5.7 fWAR as an Angel

Damn. I thought it would’ve been closer honestly and Pujols easily ahead of him

This made me curious, so decided to take a look:

    Junior as a Red 945 games 270/362/514 12.9 bWAR/2.2 bWAR per 162 games

Pujols as an Angel 1,181 games 256/311/447 12.8 bWAR/1.75 bWAR per 162 games

Latest word is DFA. As a DFA I have no interest. Once he is a FA I'm interested (for league minimum) . Reds need a righty bat with Aquino out. Against lefties he's still got a .259 average with .878 OPS.

    Re: Angels releasing Albert

Junior would have benefitted from the DH option earlier in his decline. Missing 250 games in his age 32-34 seasons didn't help either.

Still better than what Albert did in Anaheim.

Pujols needed another 1.5 seasons to get to that same bWAR number. So it's not as close as it looks.

23% of the Reds PA's have been vs LH's that's an awfully big ego to sit on the bench to save for those moments

    I wouldn't sign Pujols, Sam I am.
    Not for a ring,
not even if he could sing.
    not for a bench role,
    he's likely a SL mole.
