You'll have to forgive FCB. He's never found a Reds pitcher he could love, or a Cards player he could hate.

For a guy that just turned 25 I think Bray is doing pretty well... Above average for his age at least...

Boy, no kidding. I have hope though for guys that can get hitters out on their own, hoping they can be taught the finer art of pitching.

If you can't strike guys out.....well, we all lived through those years for the Reds.

I'd love to see a Volquez pitch break Pujols' wrist. But I don't think that'll happen.

Patterson stays in to bat against the lefty in a close game during the 7th inning.. Yet another example of why Dusty is an idiot!

I don't think game thread posts count to the total post count.

Re: Reds vs. The Bird: 8/15/08--Hairston Returns

I liked Chris Welsh's comment that the Reds better be looking for offense in the next draft. That's, of course, a little over the top, but the truth remains that all this emphasis on pitching has left the Reds with an emasulated club offensively.

And have you ever seen two guys struggle as much as Jay Bruce and Edwin Encarnacion lately? Wow, they look clueless.
