This Reds ballclub is too good to go out like this tonight.

Okay, I know I'm terrible, but tell me who else agrees: if I was managing, last inning, with Liriano up, I bring in Chapman and tell him "Nothing but heat. Nail him"
Yes that was a very impressive infield single. I thought for a second it was leaving the yard. - texasdave 10/13/12

It's not on Dusty at this point, it's on this group of players. Errors and mental gaffes in all three playoff trips they've had. 2010 they were inexperienced. 2012 was a statistical anomaly... or something. This year? I hope I'm wrong and they turn this around, but this feels like a familiar script. And I think it's on them this time.
In 2010 and 2012 the team was a clearcut division champ. They should have done better in the playoffs, particularly last year.

This year the team has had problems all year long. They were a borderline playoff team. Period. Sometimes lightening strikes, usually not.

If they want to go deeper they need to improve. It's that simple.

The team certainly looks as if they have. They look worn down.

Cueto laughing: get over it. He had a bad night. Marshall was probably trying to cheer him up. Their lives will go on. Yours should too.

We're not even the Buffalo Bills...at least they made it to the super bowl 3 times.

Back at ye olde hotel room.

Couldn't take anymore suddenly "die-hard" Pirates fans out at the bar.

And as I say that, Luddy doubles. Let's go, boys!

    Ludwick 2-3 tonight.

2-spot is looking pretty nice right now.

I'm weirdly relieved it's over. This has been the least enjoyable winning season since 2000. Get em next year. Or something. Tally ho, folks!
