I've seen the Reds players smile more on the field more in the last week than the rest of the season combined. In July and August, they were throwing stuff in the dugout, breaking bats over their knees, looking grumpy. Winning will do that, but you wonder if it's not something else.

They discovered that the true treasure was not the World Series championship, but the friends they were making along the way?

I would have lost a lot of money betting against Suarez playing SS in 96 games and 3B once in 2015. Do not remember that.

IIRC, when we traded for Suarez he was a sure-handed shortstop with some potential in his bat.

My how that scouting report flipped.
