Exactly. It's not like dudes are pitching around the Reds. Right at 'em. Especially Votto. They seem to know he's completely feeble now.
Rounding third and heading for home...

Most uneven game of the season. They felt 20 runs better

One thing I have noticed is that other teams seem to take advantage of the shift at times, but rarely do I ever see Reds hitters do the same thing.

The team base running is also bad

Because they are coming from the depths. There’s a limit on reasonable expectations. They’re trying, they’re better, but just not that good yet. If that’s unsatisfactory, so be it, but it’s the harsh reality.

You have to look at the whole picture, somethings better than expected, others worse. They are 20 -25, in position to have an improved year. I think that’s reasonable progress, next year hopefully things even better.

Good grief. Do you even understand how sports let alone life works?

You might as well get into a Hot Tub Time Machine back to 1869. Now there was a team that never disappointed.

I think fans are happier this year I would hope. The team is more competitive and hopefully learning how to win. Big improvement on last year. The question still remains why a team that was projected to have a top 3 offense in the NL is so useless. IMO if they dont start seeing major improvement by the end of this month you have to start looking at the hitting coach. It might just not be a fit.

On what do you base your conclusion that there is ZERO sense of urgency?
Did you believe that last night after they took 2 of 3 from the Cubs?

Dodgers hitters seem to be don’t fine with this new hitting coach. Maybe Turner Ward wasn’t the sole reason for their success last season?

I think overall the league has caught up with some of the Reds’ hitters. How they are being pitched, how they are being defended.

That’s the problem IMO plus the absence of Scooter who was one of their two best bats last year.

I don’t blame the hitting coach; but I will blame him if the guys don’t re-adjust soon and come out of it.

It's starting to look like a pattern. To me that points to a philosophy. Theres no way the league just figured out 70% of the hitters all of the sudden. Not saying I'd fire the guy but Ward needs to be feeling some heat at the least.

Umm at bat after at bat. Game after game.
You think they are firing on all cylinders?
