Who will the Reds nontender (fixed poll)

    Poll coming.
Guess who the Reds will nontender (not who you think they should or shouldn't, but what the Reds will actually do)

Here's estimates from Red Reporter. on what they will get. Some of these guys, I doubt they will nontender, but I Am going to put them in the poll
for the sake of completeness (maybe someone disagrees with me)

I voted for all of them because they all make more than the major league minimum.

I went with CountOnAG and Hoffman. I could maybe see Naquin, but if they are that desperate that is a really bad sign of things to come. That would signal Pirate levels of non-spending going forward.

Hoffman was my only selection. I think they keep AG. His arm appears to be OK. His head is a different matter. The Reds have had time to evaluate the extent of Senzel's health. They might non-tender if they believe he is either toast or faces a long rehab.

Re: Who will the Reds nontender (fixed poll)

I voted for AG, but with the loss of Perez this week, I can see the Reds re-signing Amir at a lower salary. They would only have Wilson and Sanmartin as lefties, and would need lefties for the pen.

I voted Garrett and, he's not on the list, but I'm guessing Aquino as well. I think they'll keep Hoffman (the need him). The big question is Naquin. I think he's an obvious keeper. I thought the same about Miley, so I wouldn't be surprised at anything the Reds do to lower payroll.

Re: Who will the Reds nontender (fixed poll)

I'm guessing Naquin, Garrett, and, as the surprise, Sims.

They'll keep Hoffman because he makes $100,000 less than Sims.

I'm still wait and see on Sims, but non-tendering him would be ridiculous.

I'm expecting at least one surprise due to ownership penury.

I forgot to click on Amir (only picked Hoffman), but Amir is getting loaded into a giant slingshot and launched.
    I'm not a system player. I am a system.

I only listed people that were due for arb. I hope they keep Naquin too, but my guess is that they will cut him loose.
My guess is that Krall is still under budgetary pressure.
I think they keep Aquino, just because he's cheap. They don't care if he's good or not.
I actually expect Shogo to get a lot of playing time next year due to lack of quality OF depth
Maybe Shogo is not a starter, but he will likely get about 300 ABs if he stays healthy.

Garrett, Hoffman, and Naquin. Of course they could keep Naquin around with the idea of moving him or Winker this offseason.

Naquin is a easy one IMO. Him and AG would be my guess

I'm not seeing it with Hoffman. If guys like Heaney and Wacha are worth $7 or $8 Million, Hoffman is easily worth the Million or so he'll get. I'm not really a Hoffman fan, but he's better than those guys.

Nah. They might be "stuck" paying him what he's worth if they can't move him. They'll take the instant savings
