The Rockies guys are saying that. I'm not agreeing, part of his foot hit the plate and he pulled it away.

Geez Mitch Wiliams, Ianetta had to move his foot to sweep the tag, which is when Gomes touched the plate. Shuddup already.

For those who can't see the game. Gomes did score and was called safe.

The ump may have missed one.

Fully disagree that the ump missed it. When Ianetta moved to sweep the tag, his foot had to move and Gomes touched the plate.

Young guys don't really know how to handle struggles. Heisey is pressing and swinging at everything. And that's not even mentioning that he is swinging like he wants to hit the ball 700 feet.
This is the time. The real Reds organization is back.

Actually, it is almost impossible for him to step on the catcher's foot and not touch part of the plate. Hernandez would have had to have step on the foot perfectly for it not have also touched part of the plate. He was likely was safe.

If Gomes had fully steppd on Ianetta's foot like Mitch Williams is maintaining, he would have rolled his ankle severely. And would probably still by lying on the field in pain.
