Yeah, not a fan of it. Pick 2/3 guys and give em a real day off. Bringing them in midway may be worse after being cooled down for 2 hours.

Just blew the second seed and we will probably face Philadelphia. I do not like the decision at all, but the consensus is that it was the right thing to do. So be it.

SF has yet to play, second seed isn't gone yet.

May have had a chance to win if stupid Dusty didn't put in all the scrubs in the late innings.

They need to lose tonight for us to have a realistic shot at it.

Yeah. And they're playing the Diamondbacks. Fat chance. Let's just plan on the Phillies and be done with it.

The Yankees and Rays also lost tonight.

Winning the night after you clinch ain't easy.

If it's the Phillies....it's the Phillies.

Re: 9/29 - Astros at Cincinnati Bats - "The Hangover"

Just a final thought to be the contrarian. Tonight Chris V., Yonder and others made mistakes that cost runs. I have no idea why Dusty decided to go with an all AAA lineup, but it may have cost the Reds a chance to avoid the Phillies in the first round. Many have taken the correct attitude and say, "birng on the Phillies," but it seems to me that maybe a little more restraint was appropriate in this situation. And yet we were so giddy in our championship that Dusty and all of forgot the main goal and that was to advance in the playoffs. I said last night that I was satisfied to make the playoffs, but it seems that maybe we should have rethought that immediate emotional thought. Facing the hammers the Phillies have might be a tough assignment. Just a really stupid move IMHO.

Regardless, maybe that's all we get in 2010. Maybe I'm too hard corre and maybe Dusty is a little too much of a "player's manager." Maybe he was right, but I don't agree. Maybe I'm crazy, but the prize was getting to the World Series. Maybe Cueto deservied better. Maybe it's the end already. I find this disgusting. But, like I said, I am a contrarian and maybe a NL Central championship (as FSO played the Bruce homerun over and over) was enough. Giving up is not in my nature, But maybe it is for most folks.

The Rays and Yankees both lost tonight. It's tough to win the night after you clinch.
