The Cards are currently losing 4-0 in Houston. The Astros are throwing Oswalt at them tonight, and he's struck out four with three hits allowed. It wouldn't make me sad to see Oswalt mow down St. Louis tonight.

Brewers just took a 2-1 lead on the Cubs.

I hope Harang can pull off the CG. It will help him in the Cy Young and gives the pen a night off.

Question. While I was away from my computer, I thought Coffey was back. Doesn't look like he's been used since his return. I find that odd.

He was back for a few hours, long enough to get a cup of himself....he's back in Louisville now, and was sent down when Shearn came up.

He was called up for one day before being sent back down for Shearn IIRC.

This is what's going to kill Harang's Cy Young votes again. It shouldn't, but it will.

Harang's only thrown 88 pitches so he has plenty of room to work with in his pitch count to finish the game. Here's to an easy inning and locking down the CG SHO.

You know how hard it is for a small-payroll team to get an ACE and to keep him?

    Re: 8/29/2007 Reds vs Buccos

Interesting tidbit: Harang's game score for tonight's start was 90, and that's the highest game score for his career.

His previous high game score was 86 on August 26th, 2004, when he threw a complete game shutout against the Cardinals and allowed three hits with one walk while striking out six. His 10 inning performance earlier this season had a game score of 84.
