These updates on Cueto are making me all tingly.

Sure am glad we are spared the hell of having to listen to it live.

Top 2: Seriously, put Cueto in right now. In the rotation. No. 3. He just chopped Adam LaRoche's bat in half on a grounder to first, don't need to see anything else. His stuff is just filthy. Ronny Paulino swung at strike 3, but not sure he saw what he was swinging at -- or swung at what saw. Same with Steve Pearce
If he's really that good then forget minor league experience. We need a guy like that in the big league rotation.

And the legend of Johnny Cueto grows. If only there had been some way to see this coming ...

Cueto another perfect inning with a K. I'm guessing that that was probably all for the day for him. A great outing! The Bucs aren't exactly the '27 Yankkes but they did have six of their regulars in the lineup today.

Cueto making a statement. Still early in March, but he's setting the pace in the rotation race.

He's the type of pitcher who's built for a hot ST start in that he doesn't make the game harder than it has to be. He's got stuff and he comes after you with it. Rusty hitters stand no chance.

I'll bet if there's one number Dusty Baker and Dick Pole are watching this spring it's the K/BB of the young pitchers. Right now, Cueto's is infinity.

Fay says Cueto , according to a scout, hit 97 on the gun at least once and is in the 93-94 range regularly.

If Cueto makes the team, I'm bringing my camera to the game so I can take a picture of him hitting 96 on the gun there.

Aronchis will be disputing that scout's reading of the gun.

Gardner got lit up,big time. Only recorded one out, gave up five hits, two walks and five runs. Adkins has come in to relieve.

Looking more and more like Cueto will be in the opening day rotation. Great start to spring, hopefully he can keep it up.
