ThisBy the way....after listening to Keels for the last couple of weeks....having Thom in the booth is like sweet nectar on a hot summer's night.
What dooo you know- Reds win!

I'd rather listen to Kelch read the phone book than suffer through Thom Brennaman's attempt to make every instance on the field the most important event since the discovery of manned space flight. -westofyou
39 runs now given up by the starters in the last 4 games.
Baseball is like church. Many attend, few understand
Bruce not sounding like a 23 year old in the post game. Good stuff.

If Bruce gets hot this last month of the season the Reds are going to be in good shape. I was hoping for a bat at the deadline he may have been here the whole time.
If you have a losing record at Reds games, please stop going.
It'd be nice to have a team that beats the best, but I'll settle for a team that seems to regularly win the games it should.

So Dusty's pretty much a genius, I suppose.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”
Bruce may have learned how to hit LH pitching tonight!!
His OPS vs. LH pitching entering the game was about .700, it now stands about .100 points higher (and better than against RH pitching).
Didnt see the game so how far were Bruce's bombs?
"I tried to play golf, but I found out I wasn't very good." -Joey Votto on his offseason hobby search
An MLB.com reporter asked what one thing Votto couldn’t do. “I can’t skate or play hockey,” Votto said. “Well, I can skate ... but I can’t stop.”
Big night for Jay Bruce and Johnny Cueto. That's the kind of performance that is needed the rest of the way if the Reds are going to make the playoffs. Just super as the Reds move back to 20 over .500.
Of course, the Cardinals won with Pujols and Holliday (miraculous recoveries?) leading the way. We'd better sweep to stay ahead of them. And I think we will.

I think they're still coming down from the stratosphere. His first shot was above the tunnel in the right field stands, like 20-25 rows up (?). A colossal shot. The second was farther towards center, probably like 5-10 rows up. The last was closer to the line again and almost as long as the first. Truly impressive to watch from my vantage point behind the visitor's dugout. From there it just looks amazing when a lefty gets a hold of a ball like Jay did tonight.
Great game overall today, not a bad moment from beginning to end. Never seen so many boats on the river to watch a Friday night fireworks show. The game even had fans who were exiting excited enough to honk their horns. Love that atmosphere surrounding the park after a game. The pulse of the riverfront was very strong to say the least.
"He looked like a surfer kid from SoCal," manager Dusty Baker says. "He didn't say much, but you could tell he was cool."
