No Puig, no Winker, no Dietrich.

    Pray it's not a no-hitter.

Might genuinely be one of the worst lineups I’ve ever seen in my life lol

Having said that, the Reds will probably score a ton of runs

“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Especially with injuries I think it’s time to let Winker play more against lefties.
...the 2-2 to Woodsen and here it comes...and it is swung on and missed! And Tom Browning has pitched a perfect game! Twenty-seven outs in a row, and he is being mobbed by his teammates, just to the thirdbase side of the mound.

He’ll play. Think of Peraza as “the opener” in left field

At least Gray is batting ninth.

    Re: Reds @ Brewers 5-21-19

So assuming this must be against a LHP and Puig is still hurt I would have gone with:

    Senzel CF
    Iglesias SS
    Suarez 3B
    Votto 1B
    Farmer 2B
    Casali C
    Ervin RF
    Peraza LF
    Gray P

Honestly though it is a tough one to group those guys and I can see the argument for so many options.

.549 lifetime OPS against lefties for Jesse.

That said, Reds could use a RH hitting outfielder to platoon with Winker and, sometimes, spell Votto against lefties. Somebody who destroys LHP. Maybe Ervin could get there, someday.

The personnel against lefties isn’t that good and without Puig (at least on paper) even worse.

That lineup really is depressing. It only has 2 guys who I expect to be a part of the future, well 3 with Votto but no excitement there. Senzel and Suarez. We need some primo young talent to get excited about and who will be around for a while.

Oh wow, his entire LIFETIME against lefties is .549? Wow that is terrible! That must be a huge sample size.

Winker is 7-42 with 1 BB over his last 10 starts (11 games)
    Puig is banged up
    Dietrich has strong platoon splits

Ervin has strong platoon splits which makes a good replacement for Puig, who isn't crushing the ball anyway.
Farmer is crushing lefties so far this year (SSS alert)

Not sure what all the fuss is about.

I feel like right now we should be trying to win as many games as possible. We can let Winker gather more experience against lefties when we are out of it.
"Today was the byproduct of us thinking we can come back from anything." - Joey Votto after blowing a 10-1 lead and holding on for the 12-11 win on 8/25/2010.
