#reds activating Billy Hamilton from DL for game tonight. Likely only being used to pinch run at first.

Frustrating that we seem to have called up virtually every pitcher from AAA but still have to suffer Kivelehan at 3B. Is there no other hitters on the 40 man that can play there?

Is Suarez hurt? I was afraid the extension would make Price bolder with his silly ideas. By the way, it was announced by Thom last night that Bryan was giddy with what all Kivlehan could do.

Darn that Price for impregnating Suarez's wife just to get Kivlehan a couple of meaningless starts!

It's like he's a super villain or something

Raisel Iglesias didn't pitch yesterday because he was sick. Said he feels better today.

Says Price, Iglesias had flu-like symptoms and felt light headed warming up last night. It's why he wasn't used in 9th inn. #reds

Jeez Doug you could have just posted an answer here instead of writing a whole blog post about it.

Maybe Ervin is a midwife in the offseason and has been helping with all the new babies.

Scooter could play 3rd with Peraza at second
...the 2-2 to Woodsen and here it comes...and it is swung on and missed! And Tom Browning has pitched a perfect game! Twenty-seven outs in a row, and he is being mobbed by his teammates, just to the thirdbase side of the mound.

Of all the young starters, I have the lowest expectations for Davis.

Weaver looks good. Whenever the Cardinals draft these college pitchers early who look like innings eaters coming out of school (Lance Lynn, Michael Wacha) I just know they'll use Cardinals Devil Magic to turn them into something above that.

2-0 Birds on a double off a leaping Duvall's glove

4-0 Cardinals on a Fowler HR.

Someone should tell Stephens and Davis how easy it is to pitch in September.

    1. Joe Morgan is still a treasure.
    2. Rookie Davis will never be anything more than roster fodder.

That's as bad as I've seen Duvall look on any catchable ball. Davis then lost concentration and gave up the HR to Fowler.
