Mercker gives up one hit and gets a DP to end the inning.

traditionally, he'd go to high A given where he played last year and the fact that he didn't tear it up

but I'd send him to Chattanooga. I challenge hitters, plus Chatt has been better for hitters than the Florida league team has been.

Stubbs played in some spring training games last year as well, iirc.

    Walks clog the bases.

Coco Cordero is now in to pitch. I think the Astro announcers believe the Reds paid too much for him.

I got the impression that the announcer would have preferred that Cordero be traded out of the division.

That's the spirit! You don't want to clog those bases with runners, keep them free and clear for all the inside the park homers.

Stubbs line out into the alley in left center to end the 8th. Robbed by the Bourne Identity.

Astros score a run in the 9th to take a 4-0 lead. Castro,Don't call me Jaun, triples to start the Reds rally in the 9th.

Anderson walks and the Reds dent the scoreboard. 4-1 no one out and the bases are drunk.
