Because Farmer is a better hitter and is playing 2B. They should give Farmer some OF reps.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

Choo led off in 143 games in 2013.

Games in the #1 spot in the batting order in the 2013 season:
Shin-Soo Choo - 143 (plus the NL Wild Card Game)
    Derrick Robinson - 15
    Billy Hamilton - 2

He's not a SS either, but played there all last season. He's a better LF than he is a SS IMO.

That year I so wanted Votto to bat second. Choo had a .423 obp and Votto had .435 obp. With those stats, they would have the first two batters on base almost 1 out of every 5 games.

Instead, we played most of the year with I believe Cozart and his .284 obp batting second.

1992 Bip Roberts was an excellent season for a lead off hitter.

Fwiw Larkin hit leadoff in 406 games, a bit over 20% of the time.
    281/349/409 32 hrs, 74 sub, more walks than k's.
Senzel needs more time in for us to proclaim him above that.

When Farmer gets 182 hits in a season, let me know.

Pretty much the worst possible time for that to happen for your pitcher
