    Congrats.

That's Evansville's 6th loss in a row. Before this sweep, they'd lost to Austin Peay (10-2) and that powerhouse from Texas, Dallas Baptist University.

My Volunteers are struggling with their SEC schedule and they did not sweep anyone this weekend but I'll take their two out of three that they got over the #2 team in the country, Georgia.

Why would anyone who knows anything about college baseball take a shot at Dallas Baptist?

Oh, wait, I think I know the issue...

Dallas Baptist is nowhere to be found on that list. Are they not Div 1?

DBU. Right on the tip of my tongue...

I wish that list had any credence because then Tennessee would be the 11th best team. I know they're not. I think that RPI for baseball has a ways to go

Why don't you just announce to the world that you don't know what you're talking about in this particular instance? It would be simpler.

Don't know what I'm talking about? What did I say? I didn't know the acronym for Dallas Baptist. OK, I plead guilty!

Dallas Baptist has been to the last 5 NCAA Tournaments. Four of those years they made the regional finals. Two of those years they were one win away from the Super Regionals. So they've essentially been a top 25 program for 4 or 5 years. And you've never heard of them, wondered if they were Division I and tried to diminish Evansville by pointing out that they lost to DBU. Evansville winning 2 of 3 from DBU was actually evidence that The Aces are pretty damned solid. It turns out that IU's sweep of Evansville is pretty darned impressive. The Aces (and DBU) would both be top 5 teams in the Big Ten.

Tennessee must be world beaters then since they swept IU. I'm not buying that DBU would be #5 if they played in the Big Ten but we'll never know

We certainly shan't. But, in an interesting coincidence, Minnesota IS the fifth place team in the Big Ten, and DBU won 2 of 3 from them in February (+9 run differential).

And Tennessee kind of is a world beater this year in beisbol.
